Reference by municipality to Civil Court in certain cases of recovery of expenses (1) If, in respect of any expenses referred to in section 501, any dispute arises, the Municipal Commissioner or the Executive Officer shall refer such dispute to the Civil Court having jurisdiction for determination. (2) Upon such reference, the Municipal Commissioner or the Executive Officer shall defer further proceedings for the recovery of such expenses and shall recover only such amount, if any, as may be determined by the Civil Court having jurisdiction.
