Registers to be maintained. (1) Such particulars regarding births and deaths as the Municipal Commissioner or the Executive Officer may, from time to time, specify, shall be entered in separate registers of births and of deaths, and such registers shall be maintained by each Registrar. (2) The State Government may prescribe the forms of the registers of births and deaths required to be maintained under sub-section (1) and the manner in which such registers shall be maintained. (3) On an application from a person interested, the Chief Registrar or a Registrar, as the case may be, shall issue an extract from any entry in a register on payment of such fees as may be determined by the municipality by regulations.
