Oath of secrecy to be taken by Mayor, Chairperson, Deputy Mayor and Vice Chairperson. – (1) The Mayor, Chairperson, Deputy Mayor and Vice Chairperson shall assume office after taking the oath of secrecy in the following form:- "I, ................, having been elected as ………………..in the municipal area of ……………do swear in the name of God/ solemnly affirm that I will not directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any person or persons any matter which shall be brought under my consideration or shall become known to me as the presiding officer except as may be required for the due discharge of my duties". (2) The oath of secrecy shall be administered by, - (a) in the case of a Mayor by the Divisional Commissioner or any officer authorized in this behalf by the State Government, (b) in the case of a Chairperson by the Deputy Commissioner or any officer authorized in this behalf by the State Government, (c) in the case of Deputy Mayor, by the Mayor, and (d) in the case of Vice Chairperson, by the Chairperson. >kj[k.M xtV ¼vlk/kkj.k½] o`gLifrokj 9 Qjojh] 2012 428
