Section 19

Investment of funds

Investment of funds. - Subject to the provisions of sub-section (2) of Section 16, a registered Society may invest or deposit its funds- (a) in a Government Saving Bank; or (b) in any of the securities specified in Section 20 of the Indian Trust Act, 1882 (2 of 1882); or (c) with the general or special sanction of the Registrar and on such conditions as he may impose- (i) in the shares or on the security of any other registered society; or (ii) with any bank or person carrying on the business of banking approved for this purpose by the Registrar; (d) in any other mode permitted by the rules.
