Section 18

Reserve Fund

Reserve Fund. - (1) At least thirty-five precent of the net profits of a registered society shall each year be carried to reserve fund, provided that be State Government may by rule increase or decrease this proportion for any Society or class of Societies. (2) The reserve fund shall not be used in the business of the society except to such extent and in such manner as may be prescribed by the rules. (3) Any portion of the reserve fund not used in the business of the society shall be invested or 9/46 deposited in one or more of the ways specified in section 19 subject to such rules as the State Government may make in this behalf.
