Co-ordination of Teaching, Research and Extension Education, Integration of functions and curicula and of Services.

1 [(1) The Vice Chancellor shall be responsible for taking such steps as may be necessary for the full co-ordination of teaching, research and extension activities of the University in consultation with the concerned officers of the University. (2) The Vice-Chancellor shall be responsible for seeing that conditions are established whereby there is the maximum feasible progress in the development of new information and technology in natural, physical and social sciences related to agriculture and its transfer to the teaching curricula and to the educational programmes leading to their understanding and adoption where applicable in practice.] (3) The Vice-Chancellor shall be responsible, working through the appropriate officers and staff of the University, to see that there is an appropriate inter-relation of the different curricula and courses offered in the different Faculties of the University so as to avoid unnecessary duplication of functions between faculties of the university and provide the students with the best course offerings and faculty contacts feasible within University's resources and talents. (4) The University shall develop its programme of research and extension education keeping in view the needs of the 2 [Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir] and provide the appropriate technical support and consultative advice to the government departments engaged in the development work in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and other allied benches.
