The municipality may, and when the Government so directs, shall–– (a) provide proper places, with all necessary attendants and apparatus, for the disinfection of conveyances, clothing, bedding or other articles which have not been exposed to infection ; (b) cause conveyances, clothing or other articles brought for disinfection to be disinfected free of charge or subject to such charges as may be approved by it ; and (c) direct any cloth, bedding or other articles likely to retain infection to be disinfected or destroyed under this sub-section.
