The Government may, by notification in the Government Gazette, –– (a) appoint such officers of the Government as it thinks fit to be the licensing authorities for the purposes of this Act ; and (b) define the limits within which such a licensing authority shall exercise the powers conferred on a licensing authority by or under this Act.
