Section 20

Meetings of the Council

Meetings of the Council.- (1) An ordinary meeting of the Council shall be held once in a quarter, on the date, time and place fixed by the Chairman. (2) The Chairman may, whenever he thinks fit, call a special meeting. (3) Every meeting of the Council shall be presided over by the Chairman and in his absence by the Vice-Chairman and in the absence of both, by any other member chosen by the members present. (4) The Member-Secretary of the Council shall make available the notice alongwith the agenda of the meeting to all the members of the Council atleast twenty four hours before the meeting. (5) The presence of 50% members of the total number of the members of the Council shall form the quorum of a meeting. (6) The proceedings of the meeting of the Council shall be attested by the Chairman and maintained by the Member-Secretary of the Council. (7) The Council may form sub-committees as may be considered necessary to perform its functions and activities. (8) The duties, functions and the terms of office of the sub- committees formed under sub-section (7) shall be determined by the Council.
