Disqualifications.- A person shall be disqualified for being appointed as or for being a Non-Official Member of the State Police Board if he - (i) is not a citizen of India; or (ii) has a charge-sheet filed against him in a Court of law in a criminal case; or (iii) has been dismissed or removed from service under any State or Central Government or Government Organization or compulsorily retired therefrom on the grounds of corruption or misconduct; or (iv) holds public office, including that of Member of Parliament or State Legislature, or is an office-bearer of any political party or any organization connected with a political party; or (v) is of unsound mind.
