Term of office of non-official members of the Council.- (1) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, non-official members shall hold office for a term of three years from the dateof first meeting of the Council. (2) Notwithstanding the expiration of the term specified under sub- section (1), an outgoing member shall continue in office until a new member is nominated or elected, as the case may be,and assumes office.
