Relation of Authority with police.- It shall be the duty of every police officer,- (i) to communicate without delay to the Chief Executive Officer or the head of the local office of the Authority, as the case may be, any information which he receives of a design to commit or of the commission of any offence under this Act and the rules or the regulations made thereunder; and (ii) to assist the member or any officer or other employee of the Authority in the lawful exercise of any power vested in such member, officer or other employee under this Act or any rules or regulations made thereunder.
