Resignation by the Chairman of the Committee.- (1) Chairman or any non-official member of the Committee may resign his office at any time, in writing addressed to the Chairman of the Board and the seat of such Chairman or non-official member shall become vacant on the date of acceptance of his resignation. (2) During the vacancy caused by death, resignation, removal or otherwise in the office of the Chairman, then not withstanding anything contained in this Act, such producer member of the Committee as the Chairman of the Board may appoint, shall exercise the powers and perform the functions of the Chairman till the Chairman is duly elected.
