(1) With effect from such date as the Government may, by not; fication, appoint in this behalf, there shall be estabIkb,ed for carrying out the purposes of this Act a Council to be known as the thlryana Veteri- nary Council. (2) The Council shall be a body corporate with the name afore- said, having perpetual succession and a common seal, with power to ac- quire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and to contract, and may by that name sue and be sued.
