(1) The University shall exercise its powers in the Karnal, Ambala, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Panipat, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa districts of the State. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other State law for the time being in force, any institution or any college situated within the districts as mentioned in sub-section (1) on the date of commencement of this Act, be deemed to be associated with, and admitted to the privileges of University and shall cease to be associated in any way with, or be admitted to, any privileges of any other university and different dates may be notified for different colleges or institutions: Incorporation.
