(1) Any casual vacancy arising in the office of a nominated member of the Council by reason of his death, resignation, removal or disability or otherwise, before the expiry of his term of office, shall be filled up within a period not exceeding six months from the date such vacancy occurs, in such manner, as may be prescribed. (2) Any person nominated under sub-section (1) shall hold office for the residual period of the term of the member in whose vacancy he has been nominated. Casual vacancy.
