(1) There shall be a Dean of each Faculty who shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor. He shall be appointed by seniority and rotation from amongst Senior Professors of different Departments comprising the Faculty unless otherwise specified : Provided that where there is no Senior Professor in a Department, the Vice-Chancellor may appoint the Dean of Faculty. (2) Suitable remuneration shall be attached to the office of the Dean who shall hold office for two years. (3) The Dean shall convene the meeting of Faculty and shall preside over them. (4) He shall be responsible for the coordination of teaching therein and the execution of the decision of the Faculty. The Dean shall have the right to present and to take part in discussion at any Committee of the Faculty but shall have no right to vote if he is not a member of the Committee.
