(1) The Director General may issue general instructions for the internal management of the semi-open air prison or open air prison, regarding location of work place, work to be performed by the prisoner and security etc. These instructions shall contain the norms to be followed by the prisoners and their family members. (2) The Superintendent shall also issue instructions or impose reasonable conditions for maintenance of discipline and order in the open air prison. Such instructions or conditions shall be in writing and all the prisoners shall be given a copy of the same. (3) The prisoners shall attend roll-call each morning and evening at the time fixed for lockup and lockout of the regular prison. (4) The Superintendent shall visit the open air prison every week at the time of roll-call and shall interview the inmates. (5) The Officer-incharge shall visit the semi-open air prison or open air prison at the time of roll-call every day and shall be responsible for maintenance of discipline and order. (6) For the purpose of security in the open air prison, required guarding personnel, as deemed necessary, by the Superintendent shall be deputed. CCTV Cameras shall be installed at strategic locations. Security staff deputed at open air prison shall be changed quarterly. The Security staff shall perform duties under the control and supervision of the officer-incharge, who shall ensure proper discipline, regular attendance and watch over activities of the prisoners. (7) The entry of visitors to the open air prison shall be regulated and may be denied for security reasons and in order to maintain discipline, the visitor shall be searched and his credentials shall be verified before allowing him to interview. An Interview–cum-Visitor’s register shall be maintained by the security staff and shall follow the rules for the interview as applicable to the regular prison. (8) List of all the prisoners of the open air prison, including their family members, along with complete particulars shall be sent to the police station having jurisdiction. 1424 HARYANA GOVT. GAZ. (EXTRA.), DEC. 30, 2022 (PAUS. 9, 1944 SAKA) (9) An Identity Card shall be issued by the Superintendent to every prisoner of semi-open air prison or open air prison and family members who are residing with prisoners in Open Air Prison. It shall be mandatory for every prisoner and his family member to carry the Identity Card all the time. (10) A prisoner may be allowed to keep a television set, games and other recreational facilities at his own cost in the open air prison. (11) A creche for children below eight years of age shall be established in the open air prison. Inspection.
