(1) A prisoner shifted to semi-open air prison or open air prison shall be entitled to ordinary remissions at the scale of six days per month for his good conduct, discipline and work and shall also be eligible for Government remission or special remissions granted by Superintendent and Director General from time to time, as per rules. The history ticket and other documents of the prisoner shall be retained and maintained in the regular prisons. (2) A prisoner shifted to semi-open air prison or open air prison shall be entitled for parole or furlough at par with other prisoners of regular prison, subject to his eligibility. A prisoner may be shifted to regular prison one day prior to his date of release in order to complete the formalities in this regard. His release and surrender on parole or furlough etc. shall be operated and controlled from the regular prison. (3) The date of release of a prisoner shall be calculated by the regular prison authorities and accordingly such prisoner shall be transferred to the regular prison one week prior to the date of his release.
