(1) A prisoner shifted to open air prison shall reside with his family. No prisoner shall be shifted to the open air prison with whom a family member is not ready to reside. (2) Family member living in the open air prison shall maintain discipline, cleanliness and proper hygiene. (3) A family member desirous of living in the open air prison shall give an undertaking in shape of an affidavit, duly attested by a Magistrate of First Class, to the effect that he shall follow orders, directions and instructions given by the Officer-incharge/Superintendent for maintenance of discipline and order in the open air prison. (4) In case of a misconduct by a family member of a prisoner, the Superintendent shall repatriate the family member from the open air prison. The prisoner concerned shall also be shifted immediately from the open air prison to the regular prison. Remission, temporary release etc.
