The Government on the recommendations of the Director General, may establish as many open air prisons, as necessary in the vicinity of the regular prison under general directions and control of the respective Superintendents. Any ward or enclosure of a prison may be declared as a semi-open air prison by the Director General. Accommodation in open air prisons.
