In this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires, - (a) “Officer-in-charge” means any prison officer not below the rank of Sub Assistant Superintendent, to be nominated by the Director General, for the purpose of overall supervision, security and safe custody of the prisoners kept in semi-open air prison or open air prison; and (b) “regular prison” means a prison having jurisdiction over the open air prison and where a prisoner shall be transferred before shifting to open air prison.
