The uniform of non-gazetted officers shall be as under:- Winter Serge khaki trouser and angola khaki shirt (with or without jersey) full sleeves stitched on police pattern, brown leather brass clasp with letters H.J. belt, Khaki woolen socks, brown derby shoes (with toe cap), Khaki lanyard with brass whistle and medal ribbons, plastic name plate (Bilingual– Hindi and English) in white letters on black background. Police pattern/Khaki Summer Same as winter except that they will wear khaki terrycot or cotton trousers and shirt (sleeves rolled or half sleeves) and nylon/ cotton khaki socks. Peak cap with strap of brown leather with H.J. badge of silver metal. As an alternative to the peak cap, officers may wear Beret cap of khaki colour with the badge of silver metal.
