The following records shall be preserved permanently, namely :— (a) General Cash Book (b) Pension cases (including the service books and leave accounts) (c) Diary of convicts released and the amounts paid to them (d) Visitor’s book (e) Register of undertrial prisoners (f) Register of convict prisoners (g) Register of civil prisoners (h) Cash Book of Manufactory (i) Annual Administration Report of the Department (j) Circulars of the Government/Director General (k) Official Gazette (l) Order Book of the Superintendent (m) Issue Register - General and Manufactory (n) File Register of record room (o) Prisoner’s escape Register (p) Officer’s Service Register (q) Warder’s Service Register Records to be kept for twelve years.
