(1) No prisoner shall be required to perform any labour, other than such as may be necessary for the conduct of the internal management and domestic economy of the prison or to meet any cell of emergency, on any of the prison holidays and Sunday. (2) The Director General may, by general or special order in that behalf, exempt any prisoner or all prisoners generally, from labour on any particular day or days other than those specified in preceding clause.
