Every prisoner, on being first put to do any kind of work with which he is not acquainted, shall be allowed a reasonable time to acquire the necessary skills to enable him to perform the task. The time shall vary from a few days to three to four months. In every case, when allotting new work, the Superintendent or subject to his control, the Deputy Superintendent (Industries and Welfare), shall note the task the prisoners begins, and subsequent progress, in his history ticket.
