(1) The Superintendent may take all measures/steps including stoppage of privileges, shifting from one barrack to another etc. All measures shall be taken through all means to ensure that the hunger strike is peacefully culminated. (2) Prisoners who go on hunger strike shall be warned that no redress of any alleged grievances shall be allowed as long as the strike continues and that they shall be liable to any prison punishment or to prosecution as per various provisions of law. (3) Prisoners who are found to be inciting the other prisoners to be part of hunger strike shall normally be transferred immediately to high security ward of other prison within the State with the approval of the Director General. (4) The Superintendent shall keep sufficient number of guard as ‘Reserve Guard’ to deal with any kind of eventuality. (5) Food shall be regularly placed before them and in case they refuse to eat, the same shall be disposed off. HARYANA GOVT. GAZ.
