(1) No prisoner shall use the washroom without obtaining the permission of the convict officer on duty between 10.30 P.M to 04.30 A.M. When a washroom/latrine is furnished with the means of being locked, it shall be kept locked during this period and the key shall remain in the possession of the convict officer on duty. Prisoner using washroom/latrine during this period shall be closely observed by the convict officer on duty so as to prevent suicides or sexual assaults or escapes or use of drugs etc.. (2) When it appears to the convict officer that a prisoner is ill, he shall at once bring the fact to the notice of the staff member on duty, who shall inform the duty officer and necessary arrangement of his treatment shall be made. 1382 HARYANA GOVT.
