The Director General shall in consultation with the Government make appropriate arrangement for procurement of the arms and ammunition from Police Department or Armed Forces, required for the security of the prison and for maintenance and repair of the same. The condemned and unserviceable arms and used, missed ammunition shall be disposed off, as per relevant rules. Fire-arms not to be taken into prison.
