Subject to the arrangements for securing the budget provision and the allotment of funds to meet the expenditure of the Prison Department made under the orders of the Government in that behalf, the entire control over all expenditure on the maintenance of prisons and on all matters in any way relating or incidental to or connected with the administration of prisons and correctional services shall vest in the Director General. Inspection of prisons by Director General and appointed officers.
