Each warder shall have a specific and distinct duty assigned to him by the Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent, such as charge of barrack(s)/ward(s), security post, patrolling beat, gate duty, work-shop(s), or gang of prisoners either inside or outside the prison. Warders shall also be responsible for all security duties like patrolling, watch tower/gate sentry etc. as well as correctional and welfare duties.
