The following articles shall ordinarily be kept in the passage between the main gate, namely:– (a) a clock; (b) spare handcuffs secured on a bar with lock and key; (c) a standing desk with lock and key for the gate-keeper’s books and writing materials; (d) a wall–almirah or box for keys; (e) a box for torches; (f) apparatus for extinguishing fire; (g) notice boards; (h) alarm dong or bell main switch; (i) door frame metal detectors, hand held metal detectors, etc. Warders to have a particular charge assigned to them.
