(1) The Superintendent may, by a written order take over for himself such of the duties of any Deputy Superintendent, as he may deem necessary, for the efficient running of the prison. (2) Every action taken under sub-rule (1) shall forthwith be reported by the Superintendent to the Director General giving reasons thereof and the Director General may confirm, modify or cancel such order. Superintendent to enquire into all prison offences and to record punishments.
