(1) The Superintendent shall pass a written order laying down therein the distribution of duties amongst subordinate officers and the nature and extent of the duties allotted to each such officer: Provided that anything contained in any order passed under this rule shall not in any way to relieve the Deputy Superintendents of their general responsibility under the Superintendent, as to the management of the prison or relieve the Deputy Superintendents or any other subordinate officer of any duty imposed on him by any law or rules for the time being in force. (2) The Superintendent shall apply the principle of periodical rotation in matters of distribution of duties amongst subordinate officers employed in the prison. (3) The distribution of duties amongst subordinate officers employed in the prison shall be so allotted as to enable the Superintendent to fix responsibility for errors in the prison records, with precision and without leaving any possibility of uncertainty, therefore,a copy of the distribution of executive and clerical work shall be put up and maintained in a conspicuous place in the prison office.
