In the event of any temporary vacancy occurring in the office of Superintendent of any prison or the Superintendent due to any cause unable to discharge or prevented from discharging the duties of his office, this fact shall forthwith be brought to the notice of the Director General by such Superintendent or, in his absence, by the Deputy Superintendent (Administration).
