A Welfare fund shall be established for the benefit of prison personnel with the object to extend monetary aid, loans and other relief to the staff members who contribute to the fund. A Managing Committee constituted by the Director General from time to time shall be responsible for the administration of the Welfare Fund. The Director General shall be the Chairman of the Managing Committee. Necessary regulations shall be framed for identifying the beneficiaries and for sanctioning loans, aid and other relief for different purposes, namely, medical, educational, marriage in the family amongst others.
