(1) All articles of clothing and bedding items on expiry of the period as specified in sub- rule (1) of rule 469, shall be brought before the Superintendent who shall inspect each such item and declare the same condemned if it is found non serviceable (2) All clothing items declared condemned by the Superintendent shall be written off the accounts under his initials. Such portions as may be useful for repairing other clothing shall be set aside for this purpose and not returned to store, the remainder shall be cut into small pieces. Cotton rags may be sent to nearest prison that manufactures paper and requires them; woolen rags shall be disposed of to the best advantage. Distribution of clothing.
