Foreign prisoners shall not be released from the prison like other prisoners. On the day of completion of his sentence, a foreign prisoner shall be released from prison and must be produced before the office of Foreigner Regional Registration Officer or as the case may be the Foreigner Registration Officer, in person, under police escort. In case due to any untoward circumstances, the foreign prisoner could not be produced before the Foreigner Regional Registration Officer or the Foreigner Registration Officer on the day of the completion of sentence, he should be detained in prison for the time being with the orders of the District Magistrate, till he is produced before the Foreigner Regional Registration Officer or the Foreigner Registration Officer. An intimation regarding the same shall be sent through an approved means of communication to Foreigner Regional Registration Officer or the Foreigner Registration Officer concerned, the Director General, and the convicting Court.
