Intimation regarding the release of a prisoner shall be sent to the District Superintendent of Police in which prisoner’s home is situated as well as to all the District Superintendents of Police of the districts in which criminal cases are registered against him. Duration of prisoner’s sentence and date of release to be calculated and entered in the release diary.
