(1) The Medical officer shall invariably be present when a mentally ill prisoner is made over by the Deputy Superintendent (Administration) to the police escort and the Deputy Superintendent (Administration) shall note the fact in his journal. (2) The Medical officer shall acquaint the officer in charge of the escort with the exact mental and physical condition of such prisoner and shall bring to his notice such disability or injury marks as may exist, and shall ask him to satisfy himself that the condition of the prisoner is as stated.
