On completion of the necessary entries in the admission register and release diary, the Deputy Superintendent (Administration) shall present these registers and the prisoners with their warrants before the Superintendent within twenty-four hours of admission during the normal course, but not later than forty-eight hours in any case. The Superintendent shall affix his signature on the registers after satisfying himself regarding the correctness of the entries as per rules. The list of every prisoner’s property shall be read over to him by the Deputy Superintendent (Administration), and if the prisoner acknowledges it to be correct, the Superintendent shall initial the same.
