(1) Whenever an undertrial prisoner is seriously ill, the Superintendent shall report the circumstances to the Court concerned, along with the medical report so that, if the law permits and the Court thinks proper, the prisoner may be released on bail. (2) If an undertrial prisoner is too sick to attend the Court and the medical officer certifies the prisoner’s inability to do so, he shall not be produced before the court. In such an event, the medical certificate shall be forwarded to the Court with a request to issue a fresh warrant for the next date of hearing. Transfer to an outside Hospital.
