(1) There shall be the following classes of prisons, namely:- (a) central prison; (b) district prison; (c) maximum security prison; (d) special prison; (e) sub-prison; (2) Every central and district prison shall have a high security enclosure for housing high- risk prisoners (3) The capacity of prisons shall be such, as decided by the Director General and notified from time to time. (4) The Government may establish open air prisons and semi-open air prisons. Central prison.
