The rolls of all prisoners who have been convicted for escape from lawful custody shall be submitted, by all Superintendents, to the Director General for sanction of their transfer to any other suitable prison, and an entry in red ink under the name of each prisoner shall be made stating therein “escaped from police”, or “escaped from prison”, as the case may be.
