The Director General may transfer prisoners from one prison to another within the State: Provided that if an undertrial prisoner is transferred to a place outside the jurisdiction of the court concerned, the court shall be intimated of such transfer and arrangements shall be made to produce the prisoner before the trial court on every date of hearing either physically or through electronic means.
