(1) The functions of the remission committee shall be following, namely:- (a) to attend to all matters of remission; (b) to recommend cases of prisoners for the grant of special remission as per provisions of these rules; (2) The members of the committee shall assist the Superintendent in all matters of the award of remission. The decision of the Superintendent shall be final. (3) The remission committee shall meet in the last week of every month, or as and when required. Kinds of remission.
