(1) The Director of the Students Welfare-cum-Estate Officer shall be a whole time officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Board. (2) The Director of the Students Welfare-cum-Estate Officer shall perform the following duties, namely:— (a) to make arrangements for the housing of students; (b) to make programmes of students’ counselling; (c) to arrange employment of students in accordance with the plans approved by the Vice-Chancellor; (d) to supervise the extra-curricular activities of students; (e) to assist the placement of graduates of the University; (f) to organize and maintain contact with the alumni of the University; and (g) such other duties, as may be prescribed. (3) The Director of the Students Welfare-cum-Estate Officer shall be responsible for the custody, maintenance and management of all the buildings, lawns, gardens, playgrounds and other properties of the University.
