(1) There shall be a Director of Research in the University to be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor with the approval of the Board. (2) The Director of Research shall be a whole time officer trained in Veterinary, animal sciences, fishery sciences or allied sciences and shall initiate, guide and co-ordinate the research programmes of the University and its institution and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
