For the purpose of proceedings under this Act, the Appellate Authority for Clinical Establishments, the State Authority for Clinical Establishment and the District Authority for Clinical Establishment shall have all the powers of a Civil Court under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (Central Act 5 of 1908), in respect of the following matters, namely:– (a) summoning and enforcing attendance of any person and examining him on oath; (b) requiring the discovery and production of any document or any other material which is produceable as evidence; (c) requisitioning any public record or copy thereof from any court or office; (d) issuing commissions for the examination of witnesses or documents; (e) such other matters, as may be prescribed.
