Operation of pile-driving equipment:-The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that— (a) only experienced and trained building worker operates pile- driving so as to avoid any probable danger from such operation; (b) pile-driving operations are governed by generally prevalent and accepted signals so as to prevent any probable danger from such operations; (c) every building worker employed in pile-driving operation or in the vicinity of such pile-driving operation wears ear protection and safety helmet or hard hat and safety shoes; (d) piles are prepared at a distance, at least equal to twice the length of the longest pile, from the place of pile-driving operations; (e) when a pile driver is not in use, the hammer of such pile driver is blocked at the bottom of the heads of such pile driver.
